The first step in doing this is to begin caring about yourself. Decide what would make you happy in life, and set specific goals to work toward. Over time, you will develop the confidence, self-esteem, and self-respect that you need for the journey. You don’t have to go through this process alone. Many people before you have beat drug and alcohol addiction who were just as afraid as you are. They were able to find the strength to be successful, and you can do the same.
