Drug addiction has come closer home than you think. It may be happening in your alley behind your house and you are blissfully aware of it. The biggest scare is that our very vulnerable and impressible children are exposed to this great evil day in and day out.

Not a single day passes without these drugs coming into their vicinity in some form or the other, whether they know it or not.It is our responsibility to let the kids know about this danger. It is our responsibility to tell them that the only way to surely avoid drugs is to say NO the first time, every time these drugs are brought into their vicinity. The only way to fight substance abuse is to keep it as far from us and our children as possible.

Children won’t understand anything if they were to unfortunately fall prey to drug addiction. That would bring them to a state of denial and a state of fooling themselves into believing that nothing is wrong with them. That is the reason we need to tell them of the evils of drug addiction when there’s still time… when they are still able to understand what it means and what their phenomenal bad effects are.

If we educate our children on this, and keep them away from such environments, we are saving them from drug abuse. We are saving their lives. Educating the young generation in the right way is the only route for us to treat this many-headed monster permanently.
