If you are into any degree of drug and alcohol abuse, you are probably so kicked up with your habit that you are not realizing how life is passing you buy. This is a part of the euphoria that these substances create.

They take you to a world of their own, removing you from the real world. Every living moment of yours is governed by the drug addiction and you are probably only living from one binge or one smoke to the next.Is this the way your life should be? Your addiction is taking away the real pure life from you. The first thing that must hit you is that you are not able to devote time to your family. Or probably, you don’t have a family at all because of your addiction. You may not have real friends either. This is what your addiction has taken away from you. If you think about your life before the addiction took over – your socially active life – you will understand how vastly you are missing out here.

You are also missing out on the true joys of life. You are no longer as physically fit as you once were, and you are no longer quite as appreciative of nature. When was the last time you really stopped and took time to smell the roses? The world is beautiful, but people addicted to substances do not appreciate the vast beauties that lie in nature.

It is high time that you took some constructive action to come out of your addiction. It is quite possible to do so. Work up a determination and enroll yourself into an addiction treatment rehab center. They will work along with you in fighting your addiction. You will get the life you deserve to live.
